While we would love for you to stay with us, we realize that everyone has different schedules and needs and not everyone can stay at Hale Kamaluhia or Kahakai Hale, but many still want to come to Molokai. Since we know a lot of the owners and have been in many of the units, we have compiled the list below of places we would recommend. They will be clean and in very good condition and most have been upgraded/remodeled very recently. As we find more, we will add them. If you do end up booking with one of them please let them know we sent you. Mahalo and happy trip planning.
1. Hale Maluhia - This is my sisters condo and the sister condo to Hale Kamaluhia. It is a newly painted and remodeled ground floor studio condo at Kepuhi Beach Resort. We clean and maintain this unit for my sister since we live here and it is close to our condo. Check out their website for current information, specials and pictures. You can contact them directly to Book or ask any questions. Video
2. Let the Cool Breeze Carry Your Stress Away as You Watch the Ocean from Our Lanai - Our friends Carol and Randy also have a very nice unit at Kepuhi Beach Resort that they rent out. This is their 1 bedroom 1st floor unit (There are not many 1 bedroom units here, most are studios). This is the place we stayed when we vacationed on Molokai and fell in love with the island. Video
3. Hale Makai - This is a really nice unit owned by our Friends Dominic and Diane. It overlooks the spacious lawn area toward the ocean. It is one of the bigger studio units with custom windows in the front and a retractable screen door in the back which provide a comfortable breeze through the unit. And they have a vehicle they rent with their unit (through TURO).
4. Desireable 2nd floor studio w/ peaceful views to Oahu! - This is a 2nd floor studio our friends Carol & Randy own with their friends. It has high vaulted ceilings and an amazing view of the courtyard, Kepuhi Beach and Oahu. Video
The Dancing Turtle B&B - We met Maxi and Woody when they came to Molokai. They own the Dancing Turtle B&B and the Dancing Turtle Ohana. You can contact them directly to book, or you can find them on AirBnB.
Here is another great place to stay on Maui. We also met Nina & Anders when they came here to Molokai and they stayed at Kahakai Hale. They are a great couple and they take a lot of pride in their place on Maui. You can book it through AirBnB at the link below.
Since we do quite a bit of traveling, I thought I would expand my recommended places to stay to anywhere we have stayed at a really nice place.
We recently went back to Vermont for a wedding (I am from there) and we stayed in and saw a couple of really nice places
The Lawerence House - This is a B&B located in Bristol Vermont owned by a friend from High School. While we were there for the wedding we got together to catch up and stopped by to see her new venture. It is a beautiful Victorian home, nicely decorated for the period. I felt like I was a kid in my grandmother's house. Her friend Melissa runs it for her and cooks an amazing breakfast (we got to sample while we were there). If you are planning a vacation to New England, you will not go wrong staying here.
The Old Hotel - We stayed here during the weekend of the wedding. It is run by the son of the Pastor of the Church I grew up attending. It is very nice and is more like visiting family than staying in a hotel. The only thing that some people may not like is there is no TV (In rooms or common areas).
Colorado Springs, CO
The Pegasus - We were lucky enough to stay here while in Colorado Springs visiting our son (He is in the Air Force and lives in the dorms so we couldn't stay with him). This place more than exceeded our expectations. It was super clean and very spacious. Regina was the perfect host and we plan on staying here whenever we go back to visit.
The Bed &Breakfast Directory - a great site to find B&B's all over the world
